About the role:
As the Senior Export Airfreight Agent - Perishables, you will be supervising a small team of Export Airfreight agents that control “end to end” service that encompasses everything from “order placement of products, all export documentation, Pining of export tariffs, coordination of bookings with Airlines lines all the way through to the final delivery to your customers door.

• An awesome Salary to $100,000 Based on “New Zealand -International Freight Forwarding - Perishable” experience + fully subsidized Healthcare.

Key Tasks:

• Building long term and effective relationships with key customers) and regulatory bodies, Airlines (this may include offsite customer visits)
• Being able to look outside the square to solve potential problems before or as they arise.
• Providing customers with up to date information on shipments, pod’s and reports as required
• Being challenged on a daily basis to find solutions to ensure your customer freight is moved on-time and in full etc.
• Communicating both in verbal and written issues that may arise effectively in a timely manner.
• Liaising with overseas offices, 3rd party carriers with regards to order placement, bookings, co-ordination, monitoring & timely delivery.
• Accurate and timely registration / invoicing / closing of Export Airfreight files, milestones and workflow for your portfolio
• Pinning entries for customs requirements
• Weekends required on a roistered basis

What you must have in Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years Export Airfreight forwarding experience – ideally within New Zealand
• Customer Service & Export Airfreight Operations processes within a freight forwarding company essential
• Perishable Export experience is preferred but not essential
• Great organisational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks, effective time management
• High level of accuracy & speed relative to data entry
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to think outside the square and solve problems
• A positive, proactive work ethic
• Must have a valid NZ drivers’ licence and own transport
