We are seeking a Packet Core expert who will be responsible for the design, implementation and operations of the Core Data Network. Your role will be a Core Data DevOps Engineer in the Core Services DevOps team delivering significant improvements in Network capability & performance, while ensuring continuous improvement in customer experience.

What will I be doing?

Design

• Deliver accurate, cost effective designs aligned to architectural, design and operational requirements considering all E2E impacts
• Own capacity and lifecycle management for relevant platforms
• Contribute to the development of domain roadmaps, network plans and capital budgets

Implementation

• On time and budget delivery & implementation ensuring network integrity is maintained
• Implementation of Network change as per agreed processes
• Ensure all changes have passed the full set of acceptance tests and quality standards before live implementation

Operate

• Ensure Incident resolution achieved within operational SLA targets
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rosters as required.
• Develop and implement processes, procedures and automation to improve operational performance.
• Ensure network integrity is maintained through an effective maintenance program.

What will I bring?

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the various elements and signalling protocols of the Mobile Packet Core.
• Demonstrate specific knowledge and capabilities on EPC, SGSN, GGSN, and PCRF technologies.
• Deep understanding of protocols, call flows, and products in 2G,3G,4G Mobile networks
• Familiarity with emerging standards and architecture including 5G, MEC and Network Slicing.
• Experience of working on standard virtualization, NFV and cloud technologies
• Familiarity with voice technologies like VoLTE, VoWiFi.
• Experience in troubleshooting packet core related faults. Able to document call flows and develop traffic forecasts
• Strong 3gpp standards knowledge and understanding
• Interest in automation and programming languages will be a plus
• Ability to engage and work in a high performing team, make decisions under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Ability to build strong relationship with key stakeholders
• Ensure effective knowledge sharing and Agile practices are in place and successful
• At least 7 years demonstrated experience in analysing, designing, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining complex solutions typically associated with Mobile Packet Core.
