Job Description

We are part way through a transformation journey and we are looking for an innovative, experienced Talent Manager who will play an important role in helping our business deliver their strategic goals, through our people. With the need to future-proof TWG to better support the business in having the right talent, career pathways and succession pipeline we are looking for an HR/OD professional who is passionate about building talent. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a “change-maker”, who is focused on building impactful talent frameworks in a fresh and dynamic way, and who can work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

This is a pivotal position in helping seek, identify and support our talent and people frameworks working across our four retail Brands – The Warehouse Limited, Warehouse Stationery, Noel Leeming and Torpedo7, as well as our Store Operations network and our Store Support Office in Auckland.

Working collaboratively with the wider People Support team you will ensure that we have an integrated approach to our recruitment, capability and performance frameworks.

Reporting to the GM People Strategy and Performance your key objectives for the role will be:

  • Talent Development & Frameworks
  • Career Mapping & Pipeline
  • Understanding our future talent needs and help to create a talent strategy to support our different brands and business needs.


Qualifications

To succeed in this role:

  • You will have experience in defining and creating talent frameworks for large complex organisations.
  • You can hit the ground running in creating defined and clear career pathways and succession pipelines for the organisation.
  • Understand what ‘best practice’ and ‘next practice’ looks like from a talent attraction, development and retention perspective.
  • Contribute to building an effective employee life cycle from a talent perspective.
  • Be able to operate at a strategic and influential level across the business to drive positive outcomes.
  • Relevant experience within the retail industry would be an advantage.
