We currently have a vacancy for a Training Coordinator to support the Engineering Management team to identify all regulatory, business support and developmental training needs which is then built into the Engineering Training Matrix.

Reporting to the Engineering Training Manager, you will be expected to support changes associated with the on-going compliance with CASR Part 42, 66 and Part 145 and 42 expositions, by working closely with the Approved Training Providers.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Ensure the minimal training requirements are documented in the Engineering Training Matrix.
  • Provide a single point of contact for all engineering training to ensure only approved training is delivered, and
to budget.
  • Building partnerships with key business stakeholders, internal & external, to ensure all requirements are
achieved and meet customer needs
  • Manage & maintain an understanding of Maintenance Engineering’s training requirements. Where identified
issues / risks associated with planned delivery occurs, be instrumental in sourcing various trainings/providers
both within Qantas Group and externally as required to meet the business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance and ensure all records are maintained, current and up to date in the LMS, as it relates to
training at all times.
  • Implement / drive a continual improvement philosophy and continual change management throughout the
engineering business.
  • Creation of policies (Local Area Procedures) associated with all new processes or systems, to ensure future
business stability and process integrity
  • Lead / Mentor and Instruct the engineering team to ensure adequate skills / experience and expertise is
obtained via a robust TNA.
  • Look to minimise budgetary spend through better coordinated training and collaboration around the Jetstar
Network and Qantas Group.
To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Detailed understanding of the regulatory requirements for engineering maintenance organisations.
  • Excellent customer service skills – capable of identifying customer needs – using various data sources
  • Sound knowledge of training needs analysis and review techniques
  • Aircraft Industry Training Experience (not essential)
  • Strong negotiation, communication skills and an ability to implement high profile projects / initiatives
  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferred, Cert IV in Training & Assessment as a minimum
  • A Strong drive for results
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi task
  • Extensive working knowledge of CASA regulations
  • Committed to continuous improvement
