Reporting to the Manager Regional Intelligence, the Intelligence Officer role is part of a small team tasked to provide quality actionable intelligence to support safe prisons and safe communities.We are after a hardworking person with a deep understanding of operational and tactical employment of intelligence. You will apply your operational experience to help develop tools to detect and deter activity in prisons.Through the development, coordination and maintenance of an integrated network you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information and intelligence to support your team and decision-makers.To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A sound understanding of the principles and methodologies of the Intelligence Cycle
  • The credibility, integrity and personality to establish and maintain strong relationships internal and external to the Department
  • Knowledge of the legislation governing information collection, storage, dissemination and use.
  • Ability to work in a team, being responsible for your own tasks and wider joint tasks
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
Possessing an ability to evaluate information with a sense of urgency, you will be committed in ensuring the integrity of our operations, elevating concerns before issues arise.A full driving licence is required as travel will be a requirement of this role.
